We cross the Alps on roads built for motorcycles, ride beneath the towering peaks of the Dolomites and discover a side of Italy where the journey matters every bit as much as the destination.
Along the way there will be exceptional places to stay, memorable evenings and time to enjoy the places we find rather than simply ride through them.
Some journeys take you somewhere. This one is about the way you get there.

Pillions share the rider’s room and motorcycle. Their fare excludes motorcycle hire and is the same with a hired or own motorcycle.
The hire-bike price covers the motorcycle-hire charge, paid by Boss Hogg once the provider confirms the arrangement. You sign the provider’s rental agreement and must meet its rider requirements. A separate security deposit or card pre-authorisation may apply. We’ll confirm its amount and refund or release conditions, any excess and other provider charges before you book. Fuel is extra. Our hotel choices are part of the Alpine experience: lakeside settings, distinctive mountain stays and welcoming places with high standards of comfort. We seek out regional restaurants and hotel kitchens chosen for the quality of their cooking, with time for an Italian lunch or an unhurried dinner. Final hotels and included meals will be set out before booking.
26 July–5 August 2027 · 11 days / 10 nights. Fly into the Milan or Bergamo area and collect motorcycles locally, subject to supplier confirmation. Nine normal riding days target approximately 125–160 miles, with a lighter arrival/departure and one flagged longer return day.
Lake Como → Andermatt → Swiss passes → St Moritz → Bormio → Lake Garda → Dolomites → Milan/Bergamo. Every high-pass day retains a weather or closure alternative.

Fly into the Milan or Bergamo area, complete the confirmed motorcycle handover and settle into the first hotel. A short familiarisation ride is optional; the welcome briefing and dinner matter more than chasing miles.

Ride north through the Italian lakes and Ticino before climbing towards the Gotthard region. The final road will balance the historic pass, tunnel alternatives, weather and group pace.

A luggage-free day built around the Furka, Grimsel and Susten roads where conditions allow. The loop will be shortened or reshaped if weather, closures or traffic make that the better touring decision.

Cross central Switzerland through a measured combination of valleys and high roads, with the Oberalp and Albula among the preferred options. Coffee, fuel and photography time are built into the day.

Bernina, Livigno and the Foscagno road create a flowing route into Italy. Border rules, rental permissions and local traffic arrangements will be confirmed before the itinerary is released.

Ride a carefully plotted combination of Tonale, Gavia and Mortirolo where open and suitable for the group. Stelvio can replace part of the loop when conditions and road access make it the stronger day.

Leave the high mountains through the Tonale and Trentino, using the Madonna di Campiglio area and quieter roads to reach Lake Garda without turning the day into a motorway transfer.

Climb back into the mountains through Trentino, with Monte Bondone or the Manghen road among the route choices. The aim is a full riding day and an early enough arrival to enjoy the mountain base.

Dolomites area

A luggage-free loop through the Sella group, Gardena, Campolongo and Falzarego corridors, adjusted for weather and traffic. This is a day for the roads, the views and an unhurried mountain lunch.

A final substantial ride returns through northern Italy towards the motorcycle handover area, with Lake Iseo providing a natural break. A more direct finish remains available if the group or weather needs it.

Breakfast, confirmed motorcycle return and independent airport transfers. Flights are not included; guests should wait for the final joining plan before buying separate travel.

Homeward journey — no overnight
Countries on the published route: Italy and Switzerland. The tour starts and finishes in the Milan/Bergamo area. Guests should check the requirements for their independent travel to and from Italy, including any transit countries.
This itinerary is still being developed. We will confirm the final route, including any additional transit countries, before you book.
Guests of all nationalities are welcome. Each guest, whether riding or travelling as a pillion, must hold a valid passport or other travel document accepted for the whole journey, together with any visas or travel authorisations required for their nationality and circumstances.
The continental countries listed above are in the Schengen area. British citizens can normally visit for tourism without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the Schengen area as a whole. Other nationalities may also qualify for visa-free travel or may need a Schengen visa; holding UK residence permission alone does not establish entitlement to enter Schengen.
Check passport issue-date and expiry requirements, any previous Schengen stays, and whether ETIAS or another travel authorisation will be required by your departure date. ETIAS is separate from a visa; follow the official guidance current when you travel.
Please check the official requirements before booking and again before departure. We can provide itinerary and accommodation confirmations to support an application once arrangements are confirmed. Obtaining the required documents and meeting entry conditions remain each guest’s responsibility. Our joining instructions will include a route-specific reminder.

A minimum of five paying riders, excluding pillions, is required. We plan for 8–10 customer bikes, with a maximum of 10 paying customer bikes. Our lead and sweep bikes are additional and do not count towards that maximum. Final tour arrangements and booking terms must be confirmed before a booking is accepted.
All tours include the advertised hotel accommodation; breakfasts, lunches and evening meals; wine tastings, wine with evening meals and hotel welcome drinks; the guided ride with lead and sweep support; the support and luggage vehicle; admissions advertised as included visits; the scheduled ferry or tunnel crossings required by that itinerary; one scheduled arrival arrangement: either pickup on the tour departure day from a named local international airport to the published tour start point, or, for an international guest whose flight schedule requires arrival the previous day, one airport hotel night immediately before departure with airport-to-hotel and next-day scheduled transfers to the start point; and one scheduled departure arrangement: either a transfer from the published motorcycle drop-off point to a named local international airport on the tour end day, or, when the tour return timing requires an international guest to fly the next day, one airport hotel night after the tour with transfers from the motorcycle drop-off point to that hotel and onwards to the airport the next day. The included airport transfers operate within their published meeting and departure windows, including the hotel arrangements when needed.
