The Airborne Edition follows Operation Market Garden through Eindhoven, Nijmegen, Arnhem and Oosterbeek. Bridges, museums and memorials connect us with the courage, loss and experiences of those caught up in September 1944.
Our September journey is planned around the anniversary, with space for remembrance and a deeper understanding of the places we visit.
Alongside that history come the pleasures of a Boss Hogg holiday: enjoyable roads, thoughtfully chosen hotels, regional food and evenings in good company. Personal hosting and care for every guest make this a journey for riders and pillions to share.

Pillions share the rider’s room and motorcycle. Their fare excludes motorcycle hire and is the same with a hired or own motorcycle.
The hire-bike price covers the motorcycle-hire charge, paid by Boss Hogg once the provider confirms the arrangement. You sign the provider’s rental agreement and must meet its rider requirements. A separate security deposit or card pre-authorisation may apply. We’ll confirm its amount and refund or release conditions, any excess and other provider charges before you book. Fuel is extra. The history, hospitality and evenings together belong to every guest. Rider or pillion, you share the visits, the dining and the personal care throughout the journey.
Come as a couple, with friends or on your own. Tell us what interests you and whether you have a personal connection to the history; we’ll discuss how it could fit into your chosen tour.
Remarkable places, enjoyable roads and the pleasure of travelling with a small group of 8–10 customer bikes. Each Liberation edition has its own story, with the same personal approach to the journey.
We select high-quality stays for their character, setting and hospitality as well as their location. Think distinctive town hotels and regional properties worth spending time in, with comfortable rooms and a warm welcome after the day’s visits. Individual hotels will be confirmed before booking.
Julian brings the group together, with daily briefings, agreed meeting points and time for questions. We balance the riding with visits, coffee stops and space to enjoy the places along the way.
Museums, memorials and the landscapes themselves tell the story. Some moments are shared; others deserve quiet time on your own. Visits follow local opening arrangements and any published event programme.
Dining is a considered part of the journey. We seek out regional cooking, quality ingredients and restaurants chosen for their food and welcome, alongside special dinners to mark the occasion. There is time to savour the meal and share the day’s stories. We discuss dietary preferences before departure.

A first look at the seven-day journey. Dates are set for 14–20 September 2027. The order of visits and anniversary activities remains subject to the confirmed 2027 commemoration programme. Hotels and final visit arrangements will follow. The route includes the rides from Windsor / Heathrow to Folkestone and back. Displayed kilometre estimates cover continental riding only; UK riding is additional and will be confirmed with the final joining plan.

OUR JOURNEY BEGINS WITH REMEMBRANCE
We meet in the Windsor / Heathrow area and ride together to Folkestone before crossing to Calais and settling into the first European miles. The route takes us through the countryside around Cassel before we arrive in Ypres.
We plan the meeting and crossing times to allow for the UK ride and onward journey to Ypres, with time to check in, leave the motorcycles at the hotel and walk into town before the evening visit.
Our planned visit to the Last Post at the Menin Gate gives the tour an opening rooted in remembrance. Ypres belongs to the story of the First World War; tomorrow, our route turns towards the events of September 1944.
Tonight, we have time to get to know the group and enjoy our first dinner together. Seven days of roads and stories have begun.

YPRES TO EINDHOVEN
Leaving Ypres, we ride east through Belgium towards Lommel and Joe's Bridge. This is where our route begins to follow the southern approach to Operation Market Garden.
There is a fair distance to cover today, so we will choose a focused stop and leave room for lunch along the way. The riding carries us through changing countryside before we cross into the Netherlands.
Eindhoven is our overnight base. Once the bikes are parked, there is time to settle in and spend the evening together.
Tomorrow, the names on the map become the thread of the day: Son, Veghel, Grave, Nijmegen and, finally, Arnhem.

EINDHOVEN TO ARNHEM
Today we follow the Market Garden corridor north. From Eindhoven, the route links Son, Veghel and Grave before bringing us to Nijmegen and Arnhem.
The distance is manageable, giving us time for selected bridge stops and the stories that connect them. We plan to arrange a local historian for the main visits, including the American airborne contribution along this part of the route.
Between those stops, we ride the country as it is today: towns, rivers and open landscapes, with time for coffee and lunch along the way.
By afternoon, we reach our base around Arnhem or Oosterbeek. We will stay here for three nights, giving the next two days the space they deserve.

Arnhem / Oosterbeek area — first of three nights

THE DROP ZONES AND THE ANNIVERSARY
The bags stay in our rooms. With a full day around Arnhem, Renkum, Ede and Ginkel Heath, we can spend time in the landscape at the heart of the airborne story.
This part of the tour will be shaped around the confirmed anniversary programme. Our aim is to attend the relevant commemorations and visit the drop-zone areas without having to squeeze them between long riding days.
The precise order of today and tomorrow may change once the 2027 programme is available. We will also plan around local access arrangements and any road closures; a parachute display is not yet confirmed for our visit.
Afterwards, we return to the same hotel. Time to talk about what we have seen, enjoy dinner and let the day settle.

Arnhem / Oosterbeek area — second night

THE BRIDGE AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE STORY
Our second full day from the same base brings together Oosterbeek cemetery, the Airborne Museum at Hartenstein, Driel and the John Frost Bridge area in Arnhem.
The route gives space to the British and Polish stories as well as the wider operation we have followed north. We plan to use the museum and selected local visits to connect the places, with time for individual reflection at the cemetery.
The confirmed commemoration programme will determine the final sequence. We would rather adjust the order than hurry away from the event or visit we have come to experience.
Tonight is our third and final night here. Tomorrow, we return to the wider roads and begin the journey west.

Arnhem / Oosterbeek area — third night

ARNHEM TO BREDA
After two days close to the history, the road takes the lead again. We leave our Arnhem base and seek out a route through the Veluwe and the river country on the way to Breda.
This is a day for enjoying the motorcycles, stopping for coffee and finding somewhere we want to linger over lunch. We will choose the final crossings and roads to keep the journey flowing.
Breda is our destination for the last night. Once the bikes are parked, we come together for a final group dinner.
There will be plenty to talk about: the opening evening in Ypres, the bridges we followed north and the people whose stories have stayed with us.

BREDA TO ENGLAND
Our final morning begins in Breda. We ride west through Flanders towards Calais, keeping the route straightforward and leaving a generous margin for the crossing.
There is time for fuel, a break and the last miles together before the motorcycles board for England.
After arriving in Folkestone, we ride together back to the Windsor / Heathrow finishing point. We say our goodbyes there before continuing on our individual journeys home.
The week has followed a line through some extraordinary places. What remains is more personal: an evening of remembrance, a story heard beside a bridge, a conversation over dinner and the shared experience of getting there on the Harleys.

Guests of all nationalities are welcome. Each guest, whether riding or travelling as a pillion, must hold a valid passport or other travel document accepted for the whole journey, together with any visas or travel authorisations required for their nationality and circumstances.
The continental countries listed above are in the Schengen area. British citizens can normally visit for tourism without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the Schengen area as a whole. Other nationalities may also qualify for visa-free travel or may need a Schengen visa; holding UK residence permission alone does not establish entitlement to enter Schengen.
This tour starts and finishes in the UK. Guests arriving from overseas must check their permission to enter the UK before departure and to re-enter it after the continental part of the tour, including any UK visa or ETA requirements.
Check passport issue-date and expiry requirements, any previous Schengen stays, and whether ETIAS or another travel authorisation will be required by your departure date. ETIAS is separate from a visa; follow the official guidance current when you travel.
Please check the official requirements before booking and again before departure. We can provide itinerary and accommodation confirmations to support an application once arrangements are confirmed. Obtaining the required documents and meeting entry conditions remain each guest’s responsibility. Our joining instructions will include a route-specific reminder.

Your written quotation will state exactly which accommodation, meals, crossings, visits and services are included. Allow separately for fuel, personal spending and your own insurance unless expressly included. Flights are not included.
These are road journeys combining countryside riding with faster connecting roads where needed. Some days are longer than others, with regular breaks and time off the motorcycle. You should be comfortable handling your bike over consecutive days, including in traffic and changing weather. Julian will discuss your experience and the route with you.
We describe overnight locations and the style of accommodation rather than committing the journey to particular hotels. Final choices will reflect the group and availability, and will be set out before booking. Routes and visits may be adjusted for local conditions or event access.

A minimum of five paying riders, excluding pillions, is required. We plan for 8–10 customer bikes, with a maximum of 10 paying customer bikes. Our lead and sweep bikes are additional and do not count towards that maximum. Final tour arrangements and booking terms must be confirmed before a booking is accepted.
All tours include the advertised hotel accommodation; breakfasts, lunches and evening meals; wine tastings, wine with evening meals and hotel welcome drinks; the guided ride with lead and sweep support; the support and luggage vehicle; admissions advertised as included visits; the scheduled ferry or tunnel crossings required by that itinerary; one scheduled arrival arrangement: either pickup on the tour departure day from a named local international airport to the published tour start point, or, for an international guest whose flight schedule requires arrival the previous day, one airport hotel night immediately before departure with airport-to-hotel and next-day scheduled transfers to the start point; and one scheduled departure arrangement: either a transfer from the published motorcycle drop-off point to a named local international airport on the tour end day, or, when the tour return timing requires an international guest to fly the next day, one airport hotel night after the tour with transfers from the motorcycle drop-off point to that hotel and onwards to the airport the next day. The included airport transfers operate within their published meeting and departure windows, including the hotel arrangements when needed.
